The Revillagigedo Islands, protected as Revillagigedo National Park, are one of the world's most noted hotspots for encounters with giant mantas. Access is only possible through a handful of long-range liveaboards, and a strict no-touching and no-manta-ray-riding policy is enforced by all boats. Diving is best from November to June. Oceanic manta rays, scalloped hammerhead sharks and silky sharks are resident. Humpback whales are seen from February to April, and dolphins and whales, Galápagos sharks and whale sharks are occasionally seen.
